Change description: Provides web applications with scripted access to an IME (input-method editor) associated with a hosting user agent. Changes to API surface: http://www.w3.org/TR/ime-api/ Public standards discussion: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webapps/ Support in other browsers: current (expected) Internet Explorer: not supported (positive view) Firefox: not supported (neutral) Safari: not supported (neutral) Opera: not supported (showed interest) OS-* scope is for M29 (at least one platform, the other 2 might be a stretch goal for M29).

Note: at issue 494856 , experimental W3C IME API code is removed from Chromium/Blink. Once needs for the API pops up, we may revive or reimplement it.
