|Issue 175101||cursor's blinking should respect system-wide settings|
|Starred by 4 users||Reported by d...@sohin.de, Feb 8 2013||Back to list|
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_8_2) AppleWebKit/537.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/26.0.1406.0 Safari/537.30 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. In terminal enter: defaults write -g NSTextInsertionPointBlinkPeriod -int 100000000 defaults write -g CursorBlink -string 0 2. Re-login?, restart browser 3. Open any webpage with input/textarea fileds and try to type some text 4. See if cursor is blinking after you stop typing What is the expected behavior? Cursor should stop blinking in text fields (like it does on linux with `gtk-cursor-blink = 0`) What went wrong? Cursor is still blinking in text fields Did this work before? No Chrome version: 26.0.1406.0 Channel: canary OS Version: OS X 10.8.2 Clearly a webkit problem, it also affects Safari and webviews inside apps (bug filed: http://webk.it/109281 )

Bulk status change for WebKit-ID-? bugs with ExternalDependency. These are now all Available. Feel free to return the status if the dependency is not on a WebKit contributor, but some other third party.

I agree. Blink should respect system setting for cursor blink interval.
