Open a new tab and middle click the title of the tab ("handle"?) in chrome if you're unsure what I mean, ;).

I might be able to submit a patch for this if I have time, I'm assuming I can just do the same thing clicking a close button does on middle click.

Could you elaborate on what is expected and what is happening.

In chrome, when you middle click the "handle" of a tab (the part above the omnibox that makes each web contents looks like a manila folder) it closes this tab. This is a very quick and convenient way to close many (or just your current) tab[s]. Patch incoming.

pfeldman or vsevik: Here's a patch that does this if you'd like to try it out - https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79518

The reason I'd like this feature is that middle clicking a tab handle to close is a very common action as it works in almost all browsers (Firefox, Opera, Chrome/Chromium, IE).

vsevik: FYI: I am in review with apalov (see comment 3) with a patch that would implement this.

Committed and fixed by pfeldman: http://trac.webkit.org/changeset/108966, should likely be in Chromium in the next WebKit roll (we're already only 21 revisions away @ 108945).

Thanks for the quick reviews responsiveness to new features, guys! :)
