|Starred by 8 users||Reported by dar...@gmail.com, Dec 5 2011||Back to list|
Chrome Version: 17.0.942.0 dev-m Operating System: e.g., Windows 7 SP1, x64 URL where crash occurred: On opening an instance of the browser Can you reproduce this crash? Yes What steps will reproduce this crash (or if it's not reproducible, what were you doing just before the crash)? 1. Start the browser Upon starting the browser, a VC++ runtime error message is displayed. Then, I get a message from Windows saying the application has crashed, and asks me to quit the application. Upon clicking quit, nothing happens, I can continue using the browser normally. I dont know exactly what else to post. If you tell me how to bring up the stack traces and error logs, I'll gladly post them here. *Please note that issues filed with no information filled in above will be marked as WontFix* ****DO NOT CHANGE BELOW THIS LINE**** report_id:d932f17649f1b296

I'm getting exactly the same thing. It just started for me a few days ago. Had been using the same version for some time before it started.

I am have a very similar issue as well that just started a few days ago. When I open Chrome I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library dialog. The title of it says "Runtime Error" and the Program: location is "C:\Us..". If I close this error window about 20 seconds later (seemingly when the page is done loading, or perhaps one of my browser plugins) the error window will appear again. I have attached a video capture of the issue.

Are you 1Password users? I found several mentions of that being an issue with their Chrome extension and installing the latest version (and removing the old one!) resolved the issue.
